There are real, established tantra practitioners working in Ireland — clinical psychologists, somatic sexologists, yoga teachers, Buddhist meditators. There is no single place that indexes them, explains what they actually do, and holds the listings to a verifiable editorial standard. tantra.ie does that. If you are curious about the practice, looking for a teacher, or trying to understand what separates the religious tradition from the modern Western form, start here.

The single biggest mistake newcomers make is treating "tantra" as one thing. It isn't. These five pages cover the main strands — what each is, where it came from, and what to expect from a teacher who works in that style.
The Hindu and Buddhist tradition — what tantra means in its original religious context.
The Irish tantra scene is overwhelmingly run by individual practitioners with their own ethics, training and approach. There is no single licensing body. That puts the responsibility for vetting on you — the person walking in the door. Our how to choose a practitioner page lays out the questions to ask, the credentials worth checking, and the warning signs that mean you should leave. Read it before you spend money. We also publish our own listing standards so you can see how we decide who appears here.
